Chicago - Associate Broker
Maximum is seeking an Associate Broker to fill a new position with our Transportation team.
This team member will assist one Executive Vice President on their book and be responsible for submitting proposals, securing quotes, and binding new commercial transportation accounts. The ideal candidate is one who can uphold our high standards of service to our retail agency clients & insurance markets. This team member must have the ability to manage several accounts & lines of coverage while maintaining thorough communication with the EVP.

Qualifications Required:
Active P&C license
2+ years commercial insurance experience
Commercial Transportation insurance experience preferred
Self-motivation and independence
Critical thinking – ability to learn, problem solve, and troubleshoot
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks/jobs
Ability to learn, retain & adapt to changes in the commercial transportation insurance marketplace
Proficient time management
Strong technical skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist EVP in placement of new accounts
Analyze client needs, coverage forms, and quotations
Negotiate with insurance carriers and retail agency clients
Work up quotes and binders to send to clients
Communicate status updates and follow-ups with EVP, carriers, and clients
Respond to carrier and client requests in a timely and professional manner
Learn and understand transportation coverages, markets, and appetites
Set up and maintain paperless files accurately and consistently
Uphold service standards on assigned accounts
Benefits & Compensation:
Starting salary for this role is $50,000-$55,000, not inclusive of opportunity for quarterly merit bonus
